arcade briefcase

1 month ago I received my raspberry pi, but what will I do with this ?
after hours of web strolling, I decided to make an arcade cabinet.
nice idea but the problem of an arcade cabinet is the size and weight and all my friends will have to come home to play loudly with my daughter trying to sleep and my wife killing me.
so I change my mind.
first I have to find the best way to make a lightweight and portable device, looking in my workshop I found a makita drill aluminium case and start building a arcade briefcase to be able to go everywhere.

here is the list of what I used to make it:

- a raspberry pi overclocked to 900mhz with PIMAME
- a xin-mo dual arcade controller
- two joysticks and 15 buttons
- two mini speakers
- a usb hub
- a wifi dongle
- a logitech K400 wireless keyboard (integrated touchpad)
- a 5V 2A micro usb charger (from a hp touchpad)
- a portable usb harddrive (I put rootfs on it to save my sd card)
- a 5V fan
- a 3 meters HDMI cable
- a switch

problem I had:

the xin-mo controller is not well recognized since 3.5 kernel, no up and left axis on joysticks.
here is how to solve the problem by patching and recompile the kernel:
